The TAEBEK is Mooto's dedicated competition dobok for high-dan Poomsae athletes, built to meet World Taekwondo's official approval standards for Poomsae competition. Its bold yellow-and-black colorway sets it apart as a uniform made specifically for Poomsae masters, distinguishing senior competitors at the highest level of the discipline.
What makes the TAEBEK unique is its fabric development process. Mooto partnered with Yonsei University to study the relationship between fabric weave and sound — research formally titled "Experiment Analysis of Measuring Frictional Sound of Taekwondo Suits" — to engineer a fabric that produces a sharp, powerful sound (kihap-style snap) with every strike and movement. The result is a dobok that doesn't just look the part but audibly reinforces the precision and power behind every technique.
Beyond the acoustics, the cut and fit are optimized for Poomsae's specific movement profile: smooth, flowing transitions paired with crisp, decisive technique. The pattern is tailored to move cleanly through both the fluid and the sharp phases of a Poomsae routine, so the uniform supports rather than restricts performance.
